Given the current Coronavirus situation, the club will not be meeting until Government Restrictions safely allow, however we are holding fortnightly Zoom Meetings. We will keep an eye on developments before confirming when we resume.
February 2021 - Titherleigh was due to appear at the Alton FebEx (Cancelled)
September 2021 – Lavender Hill is due to appear at REC Woking
October 2021 - Friedrichstrasse will be at the Fareham show
Titherleigh at the Basingstoke show.
Regrettably, our show in Bordon fell foul of the current Coronavirus situation. Plans are underway for a new date in 2022.
Open Work Days
Details of our 2021 open work days at the Milland Valley Memorial Hall will be published when available.
These events are held to provide members the chance to carry out more involved work on the layouts, that our Friday evenings do not allow us to do in the time available. Visitors are free to pay us a visit to see what their local club is up to. Tea and coffee is always available!
Fame for Titherleigh
Titherleigh featured in the September edition of Railway Modeller. The photos look really good, and the article is well written...thank you Graham. Nice to see another of our club efforts appearing in print.
Activity During Social Distancing
Although the club is currently unable to meet, there is still activity taking place. Lavender Hill has been at a club member's house for the last few weeks for work to continue. Scenic work has progressed, as well as the installation of colour light signals.
Pictures to the right.
Activity During Social Distancing - Part 2
Along side the progress on Lavender Hill, some personal projects are also underway. One member has set them self a challenge to build a small Japanese-set layout using nothing other than bits they have in their shed or modelling cupboard. There is a combination of ready to place, kit and scratch-built structures will feature. Much use has also been made of things kept because 'they may come in handy one day'! Well, their time has come.
Hopefully we will have another layout to represent the club in the future.
Activity During Social Distancing - Part 3
During Lockdown 3, Another layout has been produced by a member, this time based very loosely on Southampton Docks, Canute Road Parcels Depot represents a part of the docks complex where international mail and parcels are handled between the main London sorting office and the ships that carry the mails to the rest of the world.
